507th Family District Court

Judge Lillian Henny Alexander currently serves as the presiding judge of the 507th Family District Court in Harris County. She assumed office on January 1, 2025, following her election in November 2024; her current term is set to run through December 31, 2028.

A native of Houston, Texas, Judge Alexander earned her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in 2008 and subsequently received her Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2011.  Prior to taking the bench, she practiced family law in Harris County for more than a decade as the founding partner of the Henny Law Firm, where she handled hundreds of family law cases — including divorce, child custody, child support, visitation disputes, and related matters — earning recognition as one of Texas’ top women family lawyers. 

Her professional affiliations include the Houston Bar Association Family Law Section, Houston Young Lawyers Association, Houston Lawyers Association, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and other civic organizations, reflecting her long-standing engagement in both the legal community and public service.
