308th Family District Court

Judge Gloria E. López assumed the bench of the 308th Family District Court on January 1, 2019, following her election in 2018. She was re-elected in November 2022; her current term runs through 2026. 

Judge López’s background includes private practice in family law and civil litigation in Harris County and surrounding areas before joining the bench — experience that gives her practical familiarity with the real-world dynamics of family law. She is bilingual in English and Spanish, and she is recognized for bringing cultural and linguistic competence to the bench, a crucial asset given the diversity of Harris County. She is proud to be the first Latina elected to the 308th District Court.
